But this 2% is to cover a deficit. This means we are already spending above our states income, so this money is only going to pay off the bills, and it will do nothing to help get more jobs. This 2% raise out of the buyers (the working man) will be funneled to people who don't work, or are already leaching of the system. You don't see the steal from the rich, give to the poor thing happening here? Except we are stealing from the middle class, and giving to the poor.

This service tax will also kill the business' around the michigan borders. Why buy that battery from the michigan autozone, when I can get it 4% cheaper in indiana?
