A Weekend to Support the Sport
Mark your calendars and join us April 21st and 22nd for two great events.
Saturday, April 21st, the Two Trackers Four Wheel Drive Club is hosting their 9th Annual Trail Clean Up in the Manistee National Forest of Muskegon County. This event serves two-fold. It aids the development of positive, collaborative, relationships between the National Forest Service, the Department of Natural Resources, and the four-wheel drive community, as well as removing tons of illegally dumped refuse from public lands.
This area is hit hard by illegal dumping because it acts as an urban interface between the Forest and the city of Muskegon. The Two Trackers and assisting volunteers from as far as Toledo, Ohio have already removed over 460 cubic yards of waste, 1,500 tires, over 60,000 lbs. of shingles, 3 abandoned vehicles (one stolen), and the makings of a meth lab. Come on out and have some fun while getting a dirty job done! See the EVENT FLYER (below) for details.
First Event - Day One
Second Event - Day Two
Sunday, April 22nd, the Two Trackers Four Wheel Drive Club and Great Lakes Four Wheel Drive Association are proud to welcome United Four Wheel Drive Associations Land Use Attorney, Carla Boucher to Michigan! She will speak about the top four-wheel drive issues facing Michigan and the Nation, the need for unification, support for the three-tiered system of representation, and address questions that enthusiasts may have, in an open forum, following the presentations.
Carla is deeply committed to the future of four-wheel drive opportunities in Michigan. She is currently assisting with the Appeal of the Huron-Manistee National Forest Plan to gain a more favorable position for our sport for the next twenty-plus years, opposing the unnecessary closure of roads through the Baldwin Ranger Districtís M-37 Project, and the development of the FIRST 4x4 Route within National Forest lands in Michigan. See the EVENT FLYER (below) for additional information.
