They have, and they have discovered why you don't do that. Besides the strength issues, there are probably legal considerations of having farm implement parts on a highway-driven vehicle if you have a failure and someone decides to investigate the odd-looking non-stock parts.
If this was on a trail-only vehicle that was towed to the playground, I would have a different opinion.
