I would check the slide pins on the front and rear brake calipers. I have seen a lot of these rust up and cause brakeing issues. If they are still free, I would take them apart and put fresh grease in them anyways, just to be safe. As for lift, my old boss had a 2002 f-350, and we put a leveling kit and a 3 inch body lift on it, and it fit 36's very well. I would also keep an eye on the oil pan. I can't remember if it was the iol pan itself or just the gasket, but we had to replace a lot of those at the shop I worked at, and it was a time consuming job. But that was just in the diesels.
