I'd go with an 8.8 before the EB 9"- higher pinion for your short WB, and the early Bronco 9 is 28 spline and more expensive. Also, the EB D44 has the small D30 sized u-joints in the axleshafts. A pair of Scout or Waggy D44s would work better, but any solid axle swap will take some work up front.
