Default Chevy techs heat A/C questions on a 1994 suburban

I have this problem that has been going on for quite a while and seems to be getting worse. The Hot/Cold adjustment is intermittently sticking on full hot or cold. If you move the heat adjustment back and forth, eventually it will change. I also think I heard like a flap inside the dash, flop/thump/clunk when turning on the system. It has the electric buttons for the controls, no levers.

I also noticed someting new in the last few weeks. The Modes seem to be slow to change, or not fully change. example, its on full defrost, but air is coming out the dash vents.

So what should I be looking for? I think it is an all electric system(no vacuum) correct?? It seems like the actuator for the hot cold is stripped out, catching once in a while.

Thanks in advance,
