procrastinating winterizing is not something I would recommend, mother nature is pretty unpredictable, buddy last year did the same thing it was the first year he owed a boat, and waited too long and he paid the price with a crack in the block. 9/10 those nice days are over and you need to accept that. Summer is over. Winterize it before its too late and next year do it early enough so you can pick a nice weather day. By oct 1st or shortly after is when I shoot to take out my dock and get everything winterized, most of my neighbors do it right after labor day, and I squeeze an extra 3-4 weeks out of the season for those 1 or 2 nice days. But I have learned not to push it too far or Im pulling shit in the snow/cold. I mean its been 15 days since I winterized mine and its been snowing the last 3 days and its still oct.
