i have a rock river lar-8. Its not the DPMS pattern - it takes FN FAL surplus mags (which is what I wanted). Came stock with a hogue rubber grip and a 2 stage trigger. It is heavy, but for the past 2-3 years, this has now become my whitetail deer rifle, since i can drag it out and not worry about it rusting solid.
I have a 1-4 scope on it. works great for its purpose.
I shot the DPMS before I bought mine. The build quality just didn't feel as good. If I part with my LAR-8, it will likely be for a SCAR 17 or a POF/Mega/etc AR10 build (NOT dpms).
