Yep. Had an AR in .308 and liked it. It was plenty accurate, sub MOA out to 200 yards. I never shot it past that so I can't make any claims on accuracy past 200 but would assume it was accurate way beyond that. That gun started off as a Bushmaster ORC. The only thing I did was put a JP Enterprise (2" diameter like AR15's) free float tube on it and a Nikon Monarch scope. Had about $2,000 wrapped up into the whole setup. It was fun off a bench and a good hunting stand gun but because of the weight and ergonomics it was kind of awkward to carry afield (I don't feel this way about my AR15). You intended use of the firearm should also play a role in the configuration you build.
