Good luck on the stain route. What kind was it that you used. I used Thompsoms for nearly all my work.
I would have to go out and look. The old stuff was a clear colored stuff and the new stuff is opaque almost like paint. No idea why it works. Local guy turned me onto it. Didn't have to "forcefully deter" any of those things this year. Last year it was a war all fall and the previous owner of the house said he battled them for years.
