I know my father ended up with one for 7k when he blew out his Achilles tendon. I don't believe it was interest free and he did pay it back
He was also telling me of a news report he watched the other night where a doctor had a natural birth and stayed one night in the hospital. The bill was over 6k. She scrutinized it and not only had her insurance been billed double for the one night stay (at $2k a night), they were also billed for Oxycontin (which you would not give to a pregnant woman, or a woman who plans to nurse her child). These are the things the government needs to have an eye on and actually punish those who are billing for services not provided. Not mandating every body buy into a private business.
There are things that our health insurance/health care system that could be improved. BarrySorentocare didn't address any of it properly.
