The kids learn traits from the ones they are around the most and hopefully the daycare person is devoted to the children they care for more than the money they make.
What's more important? The life style you live or the children you bring into the world?
Is the cost of daycare close to one parents wage?
I have a friend that it was not cost effective for him and his wife to work. She made good money as a nurse so he stayed home to raise the boys.

My wife is going back to work now after seven years of being home with our youngest, she was home for eight years with our oldest.

It is the only way to go,

Change your life style to afford it, your family will be better off for it.

Get a second job if you have to.
Thanks, I appreciate the insights, but that is not the advice I was asking for.
