Default Snow Stops for metal roof, what works for you?

I need to put snow stops on the roof of the barn this year before the barn. Last year, we'd have large snow slides that make a huge mess and are a safety hazard.

Anyone have experience with putting them up? Did you do one stop in each 'groove' of the roof?

I believe my roofing as called R-panel. Ribs are 9" on center, and the roof is through-fastened (not standing seam). So I am planning to use screws to attach the stops to the roof. I have not heard anything good about peel and stick adhesives, and I don't think we have enough doors above 50* for the good adhesive to work.

Roof is 4/12 pitch, probably about 18-19 feet from peak to edge.
