But to clarify, they were riding in support of the tragedy that happened on 9/11/2001. The collective purpose of the ride was to honor the many who perished that day.
I understand that Abe was referencing the 9/11 terrorist attack.
I just don't like the phrasing "in support of the tragedy..." I just have a problem with the wording.
I also don't like that there is an insinuation that because somebody didn't take a day off from work, to do something that they enjoy (riding a motorcycle) is any less patriotic, than someone who went to work and carried on.
