Nowhere in the U.S. Constitution does it say that the U.S. is the responsible for making the world behave in a civilized manner. No matter how tragic it is, and how many children were killed, it is not our problem.
One group of Syrians could exterminate another group of Syrians and it is in no way in the interests of the U.S. to intervene.
Ask yourself this question: is the problem vital enough that I'm willing to send MY child overseas to fix it?
No amount of military intervention will turn Syrians, Libyans, Egyptians, Iraqis, Afghans, Nicaraguans, Lebanese, Vietnamese, or North Koreans into good little democracy-loving pseudo-Americans.
