why not a ring gear spacer?
the dana 44's in tj rubicons can only be geared down to 5.13.
the 42rle in them has a .69 overdrive ratio, and uses alot of power to spin it.
many guys run 5.13's on 33" tires, and it works well.
i can get standard gears for the d44 in 5.89, that would be perfect for 37's
i have found 2 guys running 5.89's on rubicon lockers with ring gear spacers.
the rubicon wont see any serious abuse, mild trails and street only.
ring gear spacers are not uncommon in some other axles.
i already have selectable lockers, why not run them?
are ring gear spacers that bad?
