Yes, if it were full. But it's not. And places to fill CO2 on a Saturday aren't too plentiful. So he can run out a few gallons of gas and waste a couple hours trying to get the tank filled, or he could go to the trailer with a 12 volt comp and fill it in a half hour and be done.

Or, he could have checked his tank on Wednesday, so he would have a couple days to fill it before going to get the trailer. Or he could just blow into the valve stem.

I filled a flat tire on my motorhome (8.75x16.5) enough to drive to a gas station a mile away in about 10 minutes. Just giving an option when CO2 is not available.
