I originally thought it would be worth $500-600 bucks & was asking opinions if guys thought that was too much! I finally did get someone to send me a PM from the Zuwharrie site and he said that $1,400 was a fair price for the east coast so that's what I went with.
I'm really sorry how this went down, it totally was not my intention to cause such a ruckus. This is starting to stress me out! I have a stressful life and I certainly wasn't looking to add more.
So let me ask all of you...who will honestly tell me on this forum what it's really worth? Step back, look at the situation from my point of view and then tell me what you think the fair thing to do is for everyone (including me).
Vee, It is hard to say without seeing it, but from what you say about it, it sounds like something between 1500 and 2500
did you search THIS site?
a quick search here and I find this add
it's been for sale since nov last year, in excellent shape, asking $3500, not much action over 9 month means it probable over priced for this site.
so how close it the condition of yours to it, what type of TLC does it need? How fast do you want to sell it.
also from this site in the sold section, althought you never know it they sold for full asking price, I would bet at least close
and on CL I find
and there was another add on CL the day you posted this for 2 samurai's one needing some work for $1500 and another one mint needing nothing for $3500 similar to the one posted here.
If you wanted the most for it, you should have posted something like: I'm not sure what this is worth so I'll ask $3000 OR BEST OFFER, I want to sell it fast so bring all offers ASAP.
and expect offers all over the map from your $500 on up to what it's really worth. I say to start at $3000 based on the search showing one for 3500 with little response. If you didn't get a response after a few day drop the price $500 until you got response. That's how to get the best price without re-nigging on your offer to sell for $1400.
If you really want it gone fast and willing to take $1400 you should have started responding to people with a first contact, first cash sale, or could have taken the best higher offer by the time you were ready to make calls and set up the sale.
If you don't want the stress, you shouldn't be trying to set up an auction, they are stressful in nature.
