Actually while the frames are different the clamshells on the engine are fhe same. My brackets work on a 2wd and 4wd. I had these brackets on a 93 Sierra 2wd before I built my 94 z71.
The mounts allow 3/8" adjustability fore aft, but on the 88-98 trucks you really don't need it. On a 4wd, I recommend you run stock location to keep from having to mod your tcase mounting and driveshafts.
