I can have this bottle at cost. ($40)
I havent had that. I try to stay around 20.00 or less for a bottle, all though Ive had pricier. If you dont mind to spend$$$$. Go for a bottle of Chatou La moffe Bordue (sp) out of France. Its an excellent white or get a La Crema http://pg.lacrema.com/adwords/?gclid...FSZgMgodJSsAbw (easier to find). Both 20.00 - 30.00 whites
Honestly, you dont need to spend a lot to get good wine. Ive had cheap and Ive have had expensive, not a lot of difference unless your friend has a well developed pallet and drinks the expensive stuff. Just my opinion, but the biggest difference between the two is the finish. Cheap wines don't have the smoothness the expensive do but are quite flavorful too. I try to stay above the 10.00 mark when its just for sipping. If Im having it with a meat, I m not as worried about the finish.
