I turned rotors all the time at the dealership. But, I remember us having to buy an "on car" brake lathe because when the Colorado/Canyon came out, that is the only way the rotors could be turned. Something about the rotor being part of the hub or something. Never ended up doing rotors on a Colorado or Canyon.
Unless the rotors were really rusty, I think they were just lazy.
maybe that would be why lol, I just took in drums from the colorado, not rotors
