So I know not to take this thing up to Big E's in Midland....
I bought this: http://www.bidcorp.com/AuctionDetail...ction_id=36169
with the intention of using it this fall at my Mom's 2+ acres with lots of mature trees. I knew it had been stored, and probably ridden hard and put away wet.
Got it home. drained the gas which looked like old coffee. tossed some new gas in, saturated the air filter with gumout starter fluid and got it to run briefly. basically it only runs if I keep occasionally squirting starter fluid into the intake.
I imagine the carb is all gummed up. I also imagine the ring may be smoked as it's a bit of a smoker.
anyone have a recommendation of a Fenton/Linden/Highland area small engine wizard? I've never done diddly with anything carbed, and my friend that does hates working on tiny engines and told me to just buy a new briggs motor with a front output shaft (he actually suggested a new 10 horse motor
