Got some new tires from 4Bangler. Traded for the skinny boggers. DOT 37s are the biggest we can run in Ultra4 modified, so we decided to go with Goodyear MTRs. I think the plan is to move the 35" short course tires to some H2's and put the MTRs on the beadlocks. The short course tires aren't DOT approved so we can only run them in TREC races, but not in Ultra 4 races in the Modified class.
We are heading up to St Helen this weekend on our old tires to shake down the new axle and hopefully get some video rolling through some whoops and doing minor shock adjustments. (no valving changes, just preload and dual rate slider adjustment). Probably play around on the rocks a bit too.
Tick list is getting shorter for the next race, still knocking out a few safety items from going through tech at the first race. A few wiring clean up items like the horn and brake lights/amber race light. We are looking at going to a remote gas fill setup as well as moving to internal fuel pump and regulator.
Also working with TJontherox to get some better numbering on the car before the race.
