35 years ago Dianne & I said our vows.
A few years later with our first daughter.
And still at it, this time she's driving.
Yup, I married a keeper. 35 years later, she still wheels with me.
It's a day for me to reflect on my life. A strong marriage, 2 married children and 3 grandchildren. 18 years ago we bought a house on a lake that we plan to retire in. We have good jobs, good friends, a great life and thankfully, good health.
6 years ago Dianne was in a severe car accident, 5 broken ribs, a broken pelvis, a dislodged sternum and lots of bruises. It was a scary moment to get the phone call from my firefighter son in law telling me that I had 3 generations (my wife, second daughter and granddaughter) all being coded to the hospital from a car accident. Thankfully they all came home safely.
So here I am, realizing that I am a very fortunate man, and it's all because of my wonderful wife Dianne.
I love you babe. Happy anniversary.
