On a road I put 6" of 23A natural aggregate over 12" of sand subbase with proper drainage (ditches). You won't loose as much material as a county road, but on average you loose 1" of fines every year.

If you go with the crushed asphalt I would blend it with the crushed limestone. When dealing with pulverized roads that aggregate has not been added to they become a pain to "cut" and grade.
