There aren't special guns made for Stingers. There are special match chambered guns that don't fit them. *edit* or several other "High Velocity" ammos.
If the stinger doesn't chamber in a 22lr, it's time to clean the gun. Just like from switching from shorts to lr in a 22, 38 specials to .357s in a .357, 44 specials to 44 Mags in a 44 mag, or switching from .458 win mags to .458 lotts in a .458 lott.
