It's an awesome round, my 10/22 .17hm2 conversion is my favorite gun to shoot...it is extremely accurate anywhere inside 150 yards.
I bought quite a bit of ammo whenever I could find it on sale a few years back, so I have enough to last me indefinitely. Most local places quit stocking it, but you can still find it online...although it averages $8-10 per 50 instead of the $4-5 that it used to. Unfortunately Eley quit making .17hm2, and that seemed to be the most accurate out of the 3 manufacturers. A friend of mine was lucky enough to find a small gun shop who had a few boxes of eley on the shelf recently...the owner laughed when he saw him eying it, and said he hasn't sold a single box since they started stocking it...so he let him buy his entire stock of 200 boxes for $3.50 per box.
