And what's to say they won't take another week for a motor swap? Personally if the shop took this long to diagnoise the problem and get back to you... I wouldn't even trust them to change out wiper blades on my car...

Weller is a salvage yard and I have bought and installed multiple engines with 12/12,000 warranties. LKQ (not the self serve) is the same way.

Perhaps if the shop is that "slow", maybe they have a good rep and are extremely busy and hard to fit work in. FWIW I have no idea what said shop is or have any take on any specifics.
