My first lunchbox locker did the same thing....steer like shit, locked up in 2wd, and broke pins like crazy....then I went back and read the instructions, and checked the tolerence between the halves like the book says...mine were right at the outer limits of tolerence, put some diff bearing shims behind them and it was 100% better...wouldn't hesitate to DD it after....surprizing what just a couple thousanths will do.....just sayin...
