What type of soil is your yard did the person that built you drainage field use perforated pipe from the house to the tank if they did it would fill your tank with ground water or your tank could be cracked and lettin ground water in or the way you talked about a clogged field I have built a lot of sytems and repaired a lot of them repairing is a nasty job that takes a few days not hard to do just time consuming depending on your local codes for the layout of the field I hope I have helped a little
