Another thing to think about is whether the power grid can handle it. Remember the shortages in California a few years ago? How much worse would of it been if in addition to people turning on thier air contitioners when they got home from work if they had to plug thier cars in to recharge as well?
I agree with this. What would happen if New York adopted this, too? Could the northeast tax the grid and have another power outage like a few summers ago?
Did this documentary talk about how much people's electric bills went up with charging their car? I've never heard, but I wonder if it saved money. Is power per kW/h cheaper than gas in MPG?
