you need a 4L60E, early model. from 92-97 will work, pre-92 they were not E, they were 700-R4/4L60, and will not work for you. And apparently 93 was a weird year for 4L60Es as there is something special about them, but I have yet to hear a definitive answer as to what is so special. Anything 98 and up has a completely different case, the bell housing is removable and different pattern, along with a 6 bolt tailshaft instead of a 4. The transmissions came in, blazers, jimmy's, s-10, sonomas, bravadas, some express vans
