I find the whole Facebook activist thing to be bandwagonish and silly. If you want change and awareness then do something about it. Putting up a symbol or a picture isn't action or raising awareness.
If the DNR devised a plan to shut down every orv trail and recreational area in the state, would everybody start posting symbols and other shit online to raise awareness of the issue? No, because it wouldn't do shit and they know it. People would be hitting the pavement and making things happen.
Actions get results. Passive participation does not.

I don't use my social media to be an activist. I do believe in good old fashioned activism but today I learned that dismissing social media as an effective marketing tool for anything when your demographic is under 50 is actually a good use of funding and time.
