Right on as far as 26 v 29. I do some riding with a group who all have cross bikes so having a 29er is essential to keep up... we are pedaling not riding like k-stand does.

when I raced moto we called it "flickability" how easy was it to toss around and "will" it to go where you wanted it. The 26 will be more "flickable" than a 29er, all depends on how you intend to use it. I still may get a cross bike one of these days, but for now gravel road riding will done on my 29er.
