If you only have two gallons in a minute coming in, the washer does not add water, only increases pressure.
I have never had an issue with running one dry. Not saying it can't happen but wouldn't that require no water in? Say I have 1.5 gpm from my well, ignoring the variable of plumbing am hose for easy math. The pressure washer is rated at 2.5 gpm. Wouldn't it pump 1.5 gpm if that was what was supplied via the hose? Must they run at full capacity at all times in order to work at all?
