No battery is measurably better than another for sitting long periods. It is a crap shoot. But add a battery tender and it will last as long or longer than a battery that does not sit.

I have quite a few tenders and use them on the boat, sleds, atvs, etc. The battery in my 2002 4 wheeler is original, it sits upwards of 4 months+ without being started each winter.
