I missed this thread. I have had a CB 6048 since 2007. So far my wood has been "free". I heat my house (forced air furnace), domestic hot water and 32x40x10 pole barn. I actually had green popular last year and it burned better than seasoned oak and maple. Go figure! , it was smooth bark(higher up trunk) and un split. I'm hooking up pole barn for domestic hot water soon.
Burner has almost paid for itself, just based on propane savings for house and domestic hot water. Heated pole barn is an extra that I'd never have had with out boiler. I keep it 49-50 kick it up when I'm out there working.
