Can't comment on the impact but I have the drill. With a fresh battery I can stop it with my hand, I don't think I've ever been able to drill a hole with it on high because it just stops. When I installed a gooseneck hitch on my truck (8 holes in frame, 10 holes in bed) it took three nights because the drill would get through half a hole, blow a puff of smoke, and shut off. Hour or so later it would work again. Battery couldn't make it through two about 1/2" holes. I was using new and like new bits.
I used it once with an adapter to do the lug nuts on my truck and it wouldn't even back off half the nuts after they broke loose just because of the grime on the threads.
