It really reaffirmed my agnostic opinion.
While entertaining, it was only a "documentary" in the sense that Michael Moore's movies are "documentaries". It was "commentary".
The real issue is that the U.S. has a disproportionate number of "evangelicals", folks who believe that recruiting is an inherent part of their religious life, and that being a good recruiter makes one a better Christian. I went to Catholic school and an amazing number of my formerly observant Catholic friends/schoolmates have become non-Catholic evangelicals of the variety described.
I prefer my religion the way it was primarily practiced 50-75 years ago - i.e. low key and personal.
