I had cheap grills for years that always got the job done. Last summer my family pitched in and got me a nice 3-burner Weber and it's a night and day difference. I always heard great stuff about them but never bought into the hype. After getting it, assembling it, and using it I completely understand. The thing is a tank and it works AWESOME. Well worth the money if you can swing it. I think mine was $700.

I won't get into the charcoal vs propane debate. Hardcore grillers swear by charcoal, which is probably for good reason, but frankly I'm too lazy to bother. I love BBQ, and charcoal or wood will obviously give better flavor, but I do nice work with propane and haven't had enough reason to switch to something less convenient.
