Its the extent of the gas that it actually uses, which is quite a bit more than other trucks of the same size. 13mpg isnt very good, at all. An Expedition or Tahoe gets better, and they are both bigger. My Dakota did much better pulling a ton all the way up north doing 75mph.

The matter is that the window sticker is way off from what you would get in real world conditions.

Dont get me wrong, I like the Durango. Its comfy, rides nice, and has a ton of room. The only reason I bought it is the fact that I have kids, and the TJ wasnt the safest thing to be driving 250 miles to my folks place.
I don't know how many miles you have on it, but you will not get the best mileage until much later. I noticed on my last few leases that the best milage is before I turn them in. They get broken in at about 20k.
