Z71s should have a 2 inch block in the rear. You could just take that out to lower the rear. Won't change the ride or towing capacity.

As far as leveling it the only reason to buy new keys when leveling is if the torsion bars are soft enough that cranking them up all the way with stock keys isn't high enough.
