It was a really quick way to accire targets. However,

He was correct.
I don't hunt squirrels with my .22 pistol but I've shot a few chipmunks with it. .22 LR birdshot works quite well within 50 ft.
I've got a red dot scope on it. Can't recall the brand or power. (yeah, I know, not much help am I?
