They basically offered my store credit for what I paid for the winch, which I could apply toward a replacement. The comparable replacement was not on sale yet, and price at $599. My argument is that the warranty was supposed to replace my winch with another one. It's not my problem that they no longer carried my model. That's what they sold me on, that's what the warranty company told me.
I always thought a 2 year replacement warranty would be as it sounds.
Am I wrong in thinking that since I paid extra for the warranty, and made the claim within my warranty time, I should get a comparable replacement if the same model is not available.
That's the argument I made with the store manager in front of the jammed checkout area. Funny, the crowd was agreeing with me. They try selling that extended warranty for everything and people were laughing at them about it for the 20 minutes I was stuck standing there.
