you may disagree (and I do too) with Chicago/Illinois stance on concealed carry, but there's really no reason to mention that they'd use tax dollars to appeal it.
tax dollars were used to fund reading the court's decision that put a 6 months stay, and forced their legislature enact enabling legislation for concealed carry.
tax dollars were used to pass the legislation that was over turned in the first place, and to enforce said legislation.
it's how representative democracy works in a republic...
the fact that tax dollars are involved to carry out core governmental functions doesn't add anything relevant to the argument. no more so than it will for liberal gun-control douchers to whine that tax dollars will eventually be used to administrate a CPL licensing program.
