ok, I've always thought they weren't very safe to be used for towing, but I'm thinking of heavier loads.

Is there a way I could get a hitch on a v6 car? Costs less a day to rent, and I'd get better mpg. It was suggested earlier that I get one, but now that I want to rent one, I'd need to know how to heck to put a hitch on there. The bumper wouldn't work, so I'd need a receiver..??

Are there any receivers long enough to reach out past the bumper from its mounting point behind it?
