My daughter is only about 27 months old so we only took her to about 8 houses... basically the neighbors that we can see from our house. But when we got back I was surprised to see how much candy they had giver her (or me rather since she doesn't really get sweets yet). Somebody gave her three big bags of Sour Patch Kids.

In the few years we have lived here, we normally get about 30 trick-or-treaters, but I think we only got about 16 this year. I don't think we had any that were older than 10 maybe and they all had pretty decent costumes for once. We also had a group of 8-year-olds actually singing Halloween songs to try and get more candy. That was a first so I obliged.

It seemed to get dark so quick tonight - that and the drizzly weather seemed to keep a lot of trick-or-treaters away from here. I don't think we had anybody come to our door after 7:30 p.m.
