That's what has me wondering about some of the other inserts I ahve looked at, they have a similar warranty to what he was trying to sell me, yet are half the price.

I plan to shop around some more, but even home depot has some inserts that are cheaper than his but again similar warranty.

I can't see spending $4000 on an insert when I could spend 7500 or so on an outdoor wood burner.

Which is what I would prefer, except I don't know that my neighbors would love it all that much, though it is still an option, but a lot more expensive.
