We talked about making the roof a bump up, but decided against it since it would add a lot of bends in a part of the structure we really want to hold up if the need arises.
I guess it's all just a matter of compromises. We didn't want to lower the seats in the tub and make visibility over the hood worse than stock. And to meet the rules of at least 3" of clearance between helmet and cage, we needed to it to be this high. We actualy have an extra inch in there to make up for cage padding and not wanting to be right at the limit since it's our heads.
I think it also looks out of proportion since we boat sided the tub, making the body side even shorter than stock.
