Were you born in Oakland County? If so, the County Clerk should have it on file. Here's the details of how to get a new copy if you were born in Oakland County. The process should be the same in most counties, but the fees might be different: http://www.oakgov.com/clerkrod/vital...tificates.html (when I needed to get a copy of mine a few years ago, I think it took me longer to park and get through the metal detectors than it did to get the actual birth certificate)

You can also go to the Clerk of the individual community that you were born in. If, for example, you were born at Royal Oak Beaumont, you would go to the city Clerk's office: http://www.ci.royal-oak.mi.us/portal...tificate-birth
